We are excited to be starting new Genius Hour projects this term. As this is our second attempt this year, I am excited by the prospect of creative and broad new areas of learning. I have encouraged all the students to take a risk this term in a new area they are unfamiliar with.
Genius Hour has four 'rules'...
1. It must be framed as a driving question (Am I able to....Can I?...)
2. There must be a research element.
3. The project needs to have an impact or a purpose (Who will it effect in a positve way other than yourself?)
4. It needs to be shared.
So here's to our creative endeavours, discoveries, children taking risks that might flop and totally engaging projects that students look forward to. A Christmas at school, every Friday!
